50 Insert Nuts zinc-plated M10
Packing unit: 50 items
You use insert nuts for fastening climbing holds on a wooden wall. They are the counter pieces of hexagon socket screws.
Why do you need insert nuts? Instruction for mounting?:
You use insert nuts if you cannot reach the back of the wooden board or if you would like to fasten the climbing holds to a massive wooden beam. For fastening the insert nuts, drill a 12 mm hole with a wood drill (about 2 - 3 mm deep). After that clean the hole from chips. Now drive in the insert nut from the front with a flat-bladed screwdriver (width at least 12 mm) into the wood. As soon as the insert nut is immersed in the wood, you can fix the climbing hold to the wood.
Where can you not use insert nuts?
Insert nuts must not be used for OSB-, MSB- and USB-boards or similar. Otherwise, the nut can break out, since this wood is of low quality.
Where can you use insert nuts?
Insert nuts can be used for standard wooden beams or high-quality multilayer boards (plywood or textured coated boards), if you cannot reach the back side. They should be at least 30 mm thick. Additionally, an at least 20 mm distance to the edge of the beam should be kept.
